In the second game of the Day, United lost to KC Blues ‘B’ by the score of 5-20. The game was featured a highly energetic, young United team fighting the Blues tough, but going down in defeat.

By and large, the Blues were able to take advantage of the relative inexperience of United and exploit gaps in the defense and create overloads which they were then able to convert into tries. United Scrumhalf P.T. was able to put one across for the home side, but one try was not going to be enough this day for the win. United Lock Sean Gunnell put in a good game, getting around the pitch, sticking his tackles, and furiously counter-rucking the Blues.

Despite the end result, this was not a bad game for the United side as they were able to compete against a higher experienced team, and were able to learn some valuable lessons about Rugby, and the importance of fulfilling your roles. We can expect great improvements from this team as they gain experience and greater understanding about what they need to do on the pitch to get better results.
