Recap

The Hornets faced in town rivals this weekend for the first cup match of the spring.  The team had plenty of numbers this weekend although the numbers did not seem to matter.  The Ramblers got off to a quick start that included a five try first half.  Tackling was the teams worst enemy although there was a few bright spots with the team needing to get more serious in training.  Brandon “Juice” Voges was the heartbeat of the back line and playing ping-pong with the sidelines while making tackles and saving the Hornets from further embarrassment.  Close to the end of the first half the Hornets capitalized on a lineout with a driving maul that Nigel Goodall took in for the one and only Hornet try of the game.  After half the Hornets held their ground only allowing two more Rambler tries, but were unable to create any scoring opportunities. The third half allowed for our rookies to get more minutes in and gained some valuable experience against a great club.  After the match both teams went to Arena Bar & Grill, where Lisa once again hosted a great party.

Man of the Match
