Recap

The Hornets battled on Saturday in the mud but came up just short, losing to Fort Leonard Wood 25-24. Scores by Brandon “Juice” Voges and Brian “Hungover” Saak early created some excitement. But sloppy play in the final few minutes of the 1st half and opening minutes of the second, allowed Ft. Leonard Wood to score three consecutive trys and gain control. A late try by Jeremy “Flowbee” Vanacek on an off-load from “PA” Tom Potteiger wasn’t enough to overcome the deficit.

Juice’s foot was on the mark all day converting on a penalty kick and three very tough conversion kicks.
