Kohlfield Scorpions were only able to travel with ten players to St. Louis this weekend resulting in an official 28-0 forfeit win for the Hornets. However, both sides decided to scrimmage 10’s for the afternoon and the Scorpions battled all day long. Led by one of the most skilled players in Missouri Rugby, Scotty Johnson scored try after try, matching everything the Hornets could put in. Luckily, the Hornets had great efforts from Bryan “FSU” Carey and Brad Kasper with 3 and 2 trys, respectively. The Hornet forwards played tough as well, led by Caleb Tufts, Brett Martinson and newcomer, Ben Dao.

The win brings the Hornets to 2-1 in Cup play, with two tough matchs remaining against Ft. Leonard Wood and Sunday Morning.
